Frequently Asked Questions
(Working With Us)

  • We are a family practice and treat our clients as family too. We do not assign any specific attorney to one file. We work together and share our expertise to make sure you have an army of lawyers at your disposal. Click here to meet our family.

  • The Federal Government dictates how we can bill our clients. We operate differently than most other law firms. We are required to charge by the hour.

However, we understand that injured workers don’t have endless means, so we work to make sure you are appropriately compensated before our fee is collected.

  • There is no way to predict how fast or slow the federal government operates. In practice, they always work slower than anyone wants. This is why having a team who is ready and able to wait the passing of time is important for you. There’s no “quick buck” to be earned in Federal Workers’ Compensation. Our firm handles claims for their life.

  • No, we don’t believe in charging injured workers upfront for becoming one of our clients. We understand how hard you work, and there are no guarantees in Federal Workers’ Compensation, so we will make sure your compensation and our fee are covered fairly when the time comes.

  • No, talking to our intake specialist or our initial consultation is free.

  • We certainly try to have any client speak to a lawyer as soon as possible when you call. This is not always feasible, but we are set up to have any call returned promptly and email responded to. Often asking for a phone appointment is the best way to guarantee you get to speak to one of our lawyers at a dedicated time.

  • Our phone line is open 9:00 am EST - 4:00 pm EST. Since we handle claims throughout the United States, using our phone and email are the only ways we communicate with our clients. If we can not get to your call right away, calls are returned within 3 - 5 business days. However, if a week goes by and you have not heard from us, call us again or send us an email.
