Can OWCP suspend compensation if I miss a physical examination?
Yes, failure to submit to an OWCP ordered physical examination or obstruction of an examination will result in the suspension of your benefits. If you object to an examination the OWCP has ordered, talk to an attorney about your options. Do not obstruct or fail to appear for the examination. You may not record or video tape an exam, however a female patient may certainly request a chaperone.
Compensation will be reinstated pending the results of a successfully completed examination.
